Newcastle Vikings Handball Club’s 2016/17 season begins next Saturday 1 October with a home Tyne & Wear derby men’s match against the newly established Sunderland Handball Club.
The England Handball North Regional Development League match will take place at 2pm at the Temple Park Leisure Centre in South Shields. Spectators are welcome to come along to watch all matches and entry is free.
The Vikings’ women will start their third Regional Development League season with an away match against Merseyside-based Peninsula in Wrexham on 23 October. Their first home match of the season will be against Leeds Carnegie on 6 November 2016.
