Newcastle Vikings Handball Club are proud to announce international aviation company APG Scandinavia as our first main club sponsor.
APG Scandinavia is part of the global APG Network, the world’s leading network for passenger and cargo airline services, partnering with over 200 valued airline clients and delivering industry-leading innovative distribution solutions worldwide. APG Scandanavia & Baltics is the representative for several airlines in Scandinavia and the Baltics areas of Europe.
APG board member and director of APG Scandinavia & Baltics, Kees-Jan van der Velden’s son Fabian has been playing for the Vikings for the last four years, while studying for his PhD at Newcastle University’s Medical School.
Newcastle Vikings Chair and Head Coach Marlen Slinning Goulty is delighted at APG’s investment in the club, saying “We are incredibly grateful to Kees-Jan for his company’s very generous sponsorship deal. It will give a huge boost to our work encouraging people in our local communities to engage in handball and lead more healthy and active lifestyles. Thank you Kees-Jan and APG Scandinavia!”
The APG Scandinavia & Baltics logo will soon feature on the Vikings’ new men’s team kit and other club promotional material.
The partnership with APG Scandinavia represents the second company to invest in the Vikings this season, following local solicitors Hay & Kilner becoming a grassroots handball sponsor last Autumn.
