It has been great to see the growth in numbers joining our younger age groups over the last few years, with several players progressing through the ranks into our senior men’s and women’s teams and being selected for England Handball academies.
From just a handful of under-16 handballers, Newcastle Vikings now runs popular weekly training sessions thoroughly enjoyed by youth, junior and mini-Vikings (from age 3) in Newcastle on Wednesday evenings at the Benfield Sports Centre. We also run a weekly juniors session in Sunderland, which this season has moved to the Beacon of Light leisure centre on Tuesday evenings. New players of all ages are always welcome, whatever their level of handball experience and abilities, so come along and give it a go!
