And when the indoor handball season ends… the fun continues on the beach. Beach handball is the perfect combination for the summer to enjoy handball, sunshine and sand. Both our male and female Viking teams have participated several times in the British Beach Handball Championship that takes place in Poole every August.
In 2018 the female team were 3rd in the second division of the tournament (7th in the absolute national women’s competition) bringing the first beach handball trophy to Newcastle.
